 Wildflower Season

The Albany region is awash with native blossoms every September. Late September, the Albany Wildflower Association hold a display at a local venue, usually held at the Anglican Church Hall in York Street, Albany. Bloom Festival

The Hidden Treasures of the Great Southern Bloom Festival 2017 presented by Act-Belong-Commit attracts thousands of people to experience the extraordinary landscapes and natural beauty of the Great Southern Region. Enjoy events including wildflower displays, guided tours, open gardens, workshops, long table meals prepared with local produce, art exhibitions, and craft activities.

Albany Show & Shine (Late September)

The Great Southern Street Machine Association, an Albany based car club, will host its annual car show, and entries are open to all who are interested in showing off their vehicles. Promising a great social event for all members of the family, the show ‘n’ shine is opened to the public and the exhibition of dozens of exciting street vehicles will be accompanied by plenty of family friendly activities with lots of things to see and do. Various food outlets, a sausage sizzle, ice cream and refreshments, a bouncy castle and face painting will keep families occupied all day. Albany Urban Downhill (Late September)

The Albany Urban Downhill manifests everything that is fast, daring and exhilarating that you can do on two wheels. A gutsy, steep downhill course riddled with tough terrain and built features – it’s no wonder this competition has been such a huge hit with daring downhill riders from all over the world.
